Default Need help for "allow outgoing calls while locked" issue. Many thanks! - 07-04-2008, 06:59 PM

Hi:

I have a "allow outgoing calls while locked" problem with the 8830 device.

I use the Blackberry Professional Software. The device is 8830 and carrier is TELUS.

There are 10 users using the blackberry 8830 in my company.

One of them can place an outgoing call while the device is locked (he need't type the password to unlock it first). Rest of them can't. I set this setting (("allow outgoing calls while locked" option)) to "true" in the policy for all users. That means it should show the status as "yes" in all device and the setting should be locked in all device. But only one user's device shows the status as "yes". Rest of them show "no". The policy is applied successfully. So all users have settings from the server. The only except is the setting of "allow outgoing calls while locked". I don't know why. Any suggestion?

Another weird problem is status information of all users.
In blackberry manager, when you click the tab "user", you can see all users there. Click any of them, you can get a summary status of the user.
Two of my users have part of the status information as:
Password Status:Applied successfully
Password Sent: 27/02/2008 5:02:15 AM
Password Received:27/02/2008 6:01:23 AM
But rest of users don't have that status information. Why?
It should not be the software version issue. But even with the same software version in their blackberry, one shows the passowrd status and another doesn't. Any suggestion?

Many thanks!
Larry
