Ok so I don't have it THAT bad. I guess the issue really is the huge amount of messages I get (mostly b/c I stopped using the computer for e-mail and get ALL of them (including the damn spam!) on my phone) and it makes for awkward situations a little too frequently for me.

OK now I'll just ask that there be a way to switch from vibrate to quiet with a quick shortcut key
