That is exactly why I do
change the timezone in my Blackberry when I travel internationally. I ensure the time zone is correct for the departure time on my flights (sync'd to Lotus Notes from my travel agent with Infuzer) and such and everything works like magic by simply wheeling around to the correct time zone for my location. My wife, who gets my itineraries in her email, knows exactly where I am relative to her time zone when I am on the road. And, in the same way, I don't miss a conference call in LA when I'm in KL.
I have had phones that do automatically adjust to local time, if configured for that, but I don't know if that info includes time zone data -- if so, automatic switching would be great, but if not, that would be a disaster. The bottom line is, your Blackberry will do the correct thing with time zones, but it does it manually.
