Try this

1. Turn on the VZ Navigator program.
2. Click on 'maps', then click on 'follow me maps'.
(This activates the gps capability of the VZW Blackberry device)
3. Leaving VZ Navigator running, open the other application you want

A user of our product found this work-around and we are trying to verify that it works not only on just our app (GolfTraxx), but everything else that seems to be blocked.

Looking under Options in blackberry maps where you select the GPS device only gives choices of none, or my bluetooth gps puck. A call to verizon verifies that only vz navigator has access to gps info. Damn. Can anyone confirm this?
