That's great, and if I had the benefit of your experience before I decided to give up on their data plan, I probably would have stuck with it. But, as I said, T-Mobile was unable or unwilling to provide any guidance at all about baseline throughput and the device provides absolutely no mechanism to control it.
Given your ~1M of useage, would you be willing to put a messages/day definition on "moderately active"? Average message size? Mix of messages with/without attachements?
