In the U.S., Blackberry devices can only use Blackberry data plans. This means you get FULL unlimited access to the internet with the Blackberry push email service included. There is no choice but to have it all here.

AT&T, the main GSM carrier here (and the only one with HSDPA), will not restrict your access to HSDPA speeds, except, obviously, in areas where HSDPA is not available. In those areas, EDGE will be available to you.

I can't answer any questions about how O2 will handle the situation.
