It felt pretty good even though it was slightly bigger than the Curve.

Due to its curviness, the Bold is more like a bar of soap roughly similiar to an iPhone, while the 8800 is a boxy cellphone with 6 relatively flat sides. So thus, the Bold "feels" smaller than the 8800, even though the dimensions are similiar.

Also, I liked the Bold's keyboard just fine -- some say it's not that good, but I could thumbtouchtype on it right away with no problems. Better than the early 8800 keyboards, for sure, though. (I say early 8800's, because the 8830 keyboard felt better than the 8800 - thanks to subtle stiffness refinements)
