Although the edge around the Bold looks like brushed stainless steel, I can tell you it's not now that my Bold skipped across the parking lot (luckily it was in the holster) and one of the edges got a minor scrape. The "stainless steel" is painted on black plastic. We'll see how it holds up over time.
At least I didn't have to take it apart
