Yeah, most likely he bought another BB. I would email him back and tell him that it won't work in Europe unless it's unlocked. Only Verizon can unlock it. Maybe he would contact Verizon and get an unlock code for it. The 8830 does have GSM capabilities in Europe so the device can be used in Europe. |
