Could be you something wrong in the software. Try launching desktop manager and click on application loader. Pull the battery out and pop it back in so it restarts then plug it into the cable. It should detect the PIN number and when it does click next so it starts to check the apps. If it can then you can do a wipe and reinstall of the software.
