Do you have an SD card installed?? If so try taking it out as there have been some reboot issues with SD cards and 4.5 upgrades. I have seen ways to make it connect using the above noted threads that involved pluggin the phone into the computer with the battery out then inserting the battery I believe right as it detects the phone. I am just not sure off hand how that was done.
