Default BB Bold, IMAP sync with MacBook Pro

Please Login to Remove!

Hello guys,

I apologize in advance for the long post, but I'll try to give you as much info as possible about my exact situation. I am considering buying a BB Bold (my first blackberry!), and I would appreciate it if you could help me out with some concerns that I have, regarding mac and imap synchronization issues.

First of all, from what I've read in this forum, the best way to sync BB Bold with my Leopard is via Missing Sync (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong). Have any of you noticed any discrepancies with syncing Address Book.app contacts and Calendar.app events, or lack of some nontrivial feature?

I've also read that there's no full IMAP support, and that the support generally depends on your email provider. My email provider is stanford.edu, and they offer IMAP (for instance, I can have IMAP access to my email acct via Apple's Mail.app). What kind of IMAP features should I expect not to see? For instance, I would prefer it if whatever I mark as read in my mac is also marked as read in my BB, and vice versa, and I would also prefer that my BB downloads *all* emails stored in the IMAP server, regardless of whether they're marked as read (e.g. I want to have access to all my current, pre-BB, emails). Is that at all possible?

Thanks!

PS: Feel free to redirect me to some thread that I may have missed, which answers any of the questions above.
