My Bold connects with no problems; and I'e noticed that the Curve is not connecting to the computer at all; when I click on the drive it should be attached to in my computer, the reply is to connect a device.

If your curve has the 4.2 OS and you upgraded your DM to 4.6 for the Bold, the issue may lie there. Like the other post suggested, try loading the USB drivers. There are links here on the forum that point to the MS drivers. Link is here...
Or, if you have a 2nd computer you could load the older DM to see if the curve responds to the USB connection. Did you look at the USB on the curve to make sure it is not damaged?
