I joined these forums awhile ago, when I was considering purchasing a Blackberry. I also wanted to test the Palm Treo. I have used Palm organisers for years (the none phone kind of organizer you will understand)
After contemplating some, I went to a store and came home with the new Treo (on a Telus plan) The phone was junk. I live in a weak signal area - ninety percent of my calls dropped out.
So, I took it back and told them I wanted a Blackberry. I had already signed a three year contract.
The store manager said I could take another new phone, and recommended that I take the Motorola Q, as it had a far superior phone to the Treo. "I really want the Blackberry" I said. He said that I could take it, but would not take it back (if it didn't work)
I ended up buying the Motorola Q, (without ever getting a chance to test the Blackberry) which has a magnificent phone, that only on very rare occasions drops calls. It's email capability is junk as it has very hard (difficult to press) convex shaped keys. Your fingers slip off them if you are not very very careful - I should have insisted on the Blackberry (although I have no idea how good the phone is, compared to the phone on the Motorola Q) |
