| | Desktop Mgr wants to switch to same pin!

I spent some time reading the threads here but couldn't find what I was looking for, so here goes:
I have a blackberry bold (BES and BIS activated, V18.104.22.168 (platform 22.214.171.124, crypto v126.96.36.199A)) that I recently installed on my laptop (lenovo T60) together with the new desktop mgr downloaded from rim v188.8.131.52)
desktop mgr works fine, syncs, roxio is slow but okay, but:
every single time I connect the bold to the laptop, after it prompts for the password is says:
your messaging account is currently configured to use device with pin 2558**** would you like to switch to the connected device with pin 2558****
?! It says the exact same pin ?! At first I clicked on yes, the result was I couldn't send mails anymore, but did receive all mails sent to me.
After reactivating the blackberry I connected it again and clicked 'no', all functionality seems okay but still it bugs me...
Interesting thing is that at the bottom of the desktop mgr screen you see connected and active pin... it still shows the same pin...
