I don't believe that is what I said. I wouldn't swap a 7290 for an 8700 if EDGE was the ONLY difference and I didn't plan on tethering a laptop; however, the OTHER differences may well be enough to warrant switching such as the speakerphone, better screen with higher resolution, expanded Bluetooth and BT 1.2, slimmer form factor, and I hope (fingers crossed) a louder and better phone.
