Yeah, I had the same thought and have looked all over Opera mini for some kind of setting. It appears to me that Opera mini automatically loads pages as desktop, but the person writing the HTML code has a way of overriding that. Typically they offer you a choice of "mobile" or "classic" on their front page (Google does this and Yahoo used to do this). It doesn't look to me like Opera has provided a way to override the override, but I wish someone could prove me wrong. I heard a rumor somewhere that Yahoo made this change vindictively because Opera chose Google for their search engine instead of Yahoo. If so, boy what a bunch of yahoos
