Why not just go to your ISP's Web mail client and have it forward a copy to Gmail (or whatever you'll use)? Your ISP should provide the option to forward and keep a copy. Or you could just manage all your mail from Gmail. I have my ISP's mail forwarded to Gmail without keeping a copy. I just do all my email magagement in Gmail. You could probably do the same with Gmail and your local email client. There are options.
