I have two BIS Storm 9000 devices which I’d like to connect to our BES. I have tried one, it connects and activates fine and all functions work.

The only difference I can find between the device is the APN which is used?

BES devices connect to BlackBerry.net and BIS device connect to blackberry.net case changes with different ip addresses.

Why is there a difference and is there a significance to this, and can I change it with a flash of the firmware?

I was thinking along the lines of costs as out data plan is for BES traffic.

Hope someone can clear this up.
