ROGERS USERS: Have any of you gone over 25 megs on your unlimited plan? what happened? I now have this working (won't use it often, but when i do it's really REALLY useful!) but i ended up using 2 megs in 20 minutes.

That's huge..

ALL USERS: What did you do to your box to reduce background bandwidth usage? the first thing i did on Windows XP was disable automatic updates, turn off/uninstall p2p apps, disable java update.. but my box was still sending a few k/minute back and forth. If i left this connection open it' all going to add up very fast.

Hopefully with the EDGE blackberries coming and with more Rogers realization that modem use is here to stay, they will provide either an option for us or increase the 'cap'..
