I was wondering the same thing, and I found out a few days ago that tethering on the Bold on 3G (with AT&T anyway) isn't possible right now. The AT&T guy said that the phone itself will surf on 3G but tethering is only on EDGE. He said that it's because BB hasn't put out the right driver. Oh well.
