Don't know if this will help, but a friend of mine did something similar with his phone. We pulled the batter and left the phone and battery under the hood of my car, in a very warm but not-too-hot place, for a few hours while we went to a baseball game. We we got back we fired it up and everything worked! So a good drying did the trick. A year later everything is still fine.
