The first 8830 was a victim of an electromagnetic field that fried the crap out of it. It was set down on an electric transformer that was disguised as a book stand type dealio. The second fell victim to a 2004 Saab that inadvertently (according to the driver) tried to run over my body.

Because I carry insurance on my BB, I don't feel the need to treat it with kid gloves. I use it, abuse it, and replace it.
