I would say the biggest advantage of the 7130e is the speed of EVDO vs Edge and that it can be tethered to your laptop as a wireless modem. We just ordered one of each so I will have to do a comparison. BTW, I am currently using a 7100g but liked the convergence of features in the 8700. What I am really hoping for most is better voice quality and volume and better bluetooth quality.
