7100i won't query -
11-29-2005, 12:23 PM
i cannot get my 7100i to query. when i try, i get the same error "THE MODEM FAILED TO RESPOND. MAKE SURE ITS IS PROPERLY CONNECTED AND TURNED ON. IF IT IS AN INTERNAL MODEM OR IS CONNECTED, VERIFY THAT THE INTERRUPT FOR THE PORT IS PROPERLY SET"
i am running Blackberry Device Manager and Desktop Manager while i try to query.
i even tried synch first.
i tried after a fresh restart.
i tried to re-configure the port speed in blackberry device manager. it will not allow me to change anything on the usb port that the bb is connected to. and the com port that the standard modem shows up on (com4) does not exist in the chart. it only displays the usb port i am connected to aswell as com ports 1-3.
in windows device manager, i tried setting all of the port speeds to the same speed and i even tried different speeds aswell to see if they all wanted a particular setting. (tried 115.2 and 19.2) no luck. my motorola phone port speed settings are at 19.2k. i tried this setting aswell. no luck with the query. i use my motorola phone as a modem for hours everyday with no problem. i really need to get my blackberry rolling so i don't have to carry two phones.
can someone please help me get the modem to query? it will be a great start!
