Default Using VZAccess Manager with a Storm on a Laptop via Bluetooth - 04-02-2009, 08:58 PM

Maybe what I'm looking to do is not possible, but here goes...

I have a Blackberry Storm and I use it tethered to my laptop with the USB Cable to use VZ Access Manager and it works great.

I figured it would be even better if I could connect the phone to the laptop via Bluetooth. I enabled my Bluetooth Connection and when I pair my phone to the computer, it wants to create a dialup connection (User ID, Password, Phone Number to dial, etc. is required)...I don't have any of that because I work through the VZ Access Manager.

I don't seem to have any way to just pair my phone with my laptop. If I could do this, then I can use the Bluetooth Option in VZ Access Manager to make the internet connection.

Everything I read, from my Windows help screens, to RIM's site says that I pair it using the "Bluetooth Devices" icon on my Windows XP Control Panel, but I don't have this option.

Are there any Bluetooth experts out there that could give some good advice?

Thanks in advance!!!
