You guys can't be getting them that fast with Cingular if you're not on a separate BES or forwarding through Gmail or something similar. The Cingular service polls every 15 minutes or so, from what I understand, and is not true push service without a BES. Cingular uses BIS which is different and not instant push. When I first got my 8700c I tested email several times and discovered it took several minutes to receive email, then I did extensive research on this site and learned about the BIS service. Then I followed instructions, also on this site, to forward all my accts through Gmail, use their filters, and get instant push within 2-3 seconds this way. From what I know, this is the only way on Cing without a BES in place. If I am wrong, and I do not need the Gmail routing, please educate me otherwise.
