Two things can be wrong.

Your SIM Card is bad. Does another t-mobile phone read your SIM? It can happen.

Or, the phone is bad, it can't read SIMs. Once again, try another t-mobile SIM in here. Goto a store and do this. That should tell you what's wrong, either phone or SIM.
