Followed the routine I've gotten used to with recent releases:
- download / install on the PC, and only keep the most recent 3 versions installed
- run CrackMem and clear out sample video and the various IM clients (I use BeeJiveIM)
- disable my network connection, so Desktop Mgr won't check online for an OS version
- fire up Desktop Mgr 4.7
- it found the OS, ran through the typical install, performing backup/restore of app db's
- booted up fine -- whole install was normal

After reboot I fired up each of my installed apps. As usual (which I don't understand, since the db's are backed up and restored), I had to re-enter all my settings in each app. But I expected this.

Every app I tried seems to work just fine. The installed apps I'm using with this include:
- Maratick
- BeeJiveIM
- Facebook
- Pandora
- Slacker
- BBFileScout
- Office To Go
- BB App World
- Anagram
- Google Mobile App
- Google Maps
- Poynt
- Live Search
- Yahoo One Search
- Slifter
- Viigo
- BeWeather (originally BerryWeather)

Every single one works just fine. As a matter of fact, Slacker and Pandora seem noticeably faster now - and both work beautifully over my UMA setup at home.

One thing that I don't recall seeing before -- maybe I missed this? Anyway - for me it's a new feature: in the camera, I found the option to geotag my photos! Was that available in prior releases?

The UI seems very responsive in this release. Seems less laggy than the last two betas I've been using. With all the apps noted above, I'm starting out with 130.56MB free space.

All in all, the upgrade appears good at first glance. Looking forward to giving it a good workout tomorrow.
