I understand you cannot change the mapping of the keyboard.

Changing input language does not change the mapping. Clearly, it looks like this is a QWERTY unit, but the keyboard has been switched for a QWERTZ.

As suggested earleir, you should buy a QWERTY keyboard and replace.
