Have you thought about Exchange Hosting? -

Hey Ruffian I think you may want to look into a full back up solution like I did. I had the same thing happen to me last October, only my Mac HD crashed. I searched for a good overall solution to ensure that my email would be backed up, as this is imperative to keep due to legal reasons (I am in sales, so quotes and all that need to be archived). I found the perfect solution to be a Microsoft Exchange hosted account. (I gave up synching my BB to my mac after wasting $50 or so on a different synching program that didn't work. I will not name names.)
I use Entourage on my Mac and Exchange hosting allows the contacts and calendar to be synched up to it wirelessly. There is no need to plug in the device. On my other windows computer at work, calendar, notes, tasks, and of course contacts are all synched up to it. If I change a contact on my PC it changes on my Blackberry and on my Mac. If I add an appointment on my Mac it adds it to PC and Blackberry. The information is always stored on a separate server with built in backed up redundancy. I can't say enough great things about it. It also allows me to leave my laptop at home when I am on the road, as I can login from any web browser and it turns the web browser into a virtual MS Outlook. I can add/edit/see all of the tasks, notes, calendar, and contacts on it.
Since October I have had 3 BB Pearls die on me. It must be fate that I had this back up solution, as I just called my Exchange hosting company and they walked me through what to do and within 15 minutes of wirelessly updating the device (1 minute of your time) the device had all of my contacts, notes, tasks, and calendar on it.
There are many MS Exchange hosting solutions. I use Mailstreet. The person I spoke to was Andy Hosler. You may want to check it out. I know there are others out there, but this company has been bulletproof. The customer service is great. Let me know if you have any other questions and good luck.
