Default BES Admin question

Hey all,

When my 8830 bit the dust last week, I called my company's corporate help desk to get enterprise activation on my insurance replacement 8830. The help desk told me that for personal devices they are only allowed to do enterprise activations for same to same devices. Meaning if I have an 8830 and I replace with an 8830 they will let me. However, if I upgrade my personal phone they won't allow a "new" activation on the network even if I'm replacing my 8830 with this new phone.

Well, I've already pre-ordered a 9630 Tour that should be coming next week. If I call my help desk and tell them that the Tour is another 8830 (when it's really my 9630) and ask for enterprise activation will it go through on my Tour? Does the BES server need to know which model of Blackberry I'm running in order to send me corporate email? I've had to replace my 8830 a couple of times due to malfunction, and every time, the help desk only asks me for my email address and then pushes the activation out to me. I'm wondering if it will cause any issues with the connection.

Trying to figure out a work around that doesn't involve having to get 20 signatures.
