Well, I didn't but I can tell you that I deleted a quite few things to get mine to stay at 15 or above. I can also tell you that this person did not seem to be computer/phone savvy and probably has everything as default. The only thing I can think of would be the OS version. Still, an upgrade in the OS (By Verizon) could not have had that much memory saving effect
