Default Problem with my Curve.

I just recently started having a problem with my Curve. The phone is just a little over a year old and it's been a solid phone up until this point.

The issue I'm having is while talking on the phone I start to get a little static/feedback after a few minutes, and then shortly afterwards the phone dies. It will not turn back on under it's own power.

You either have to pull the battery out and little sit for a few minutes or if you are around the charger, plug it up and it starts back automatically.

When the phone comes back on, even if the battery was fully charged before, there is a drop in the battery life bar.

I haven't talked on the phone much with it connected to the charger, but I have noticed that the times I have, I have not run into the static/feedback which preceeds the phone shutoff.

I was wondering if I have a bad battery and should I try swapping a new one in.
