Question Forcing all Internet traffic through the BES

Please Login to Remove!

I've recently started deploying policies on our BES server to limit users use of the network browser and force them to use the Blackberry browser. All worked well and the users barely notice a thing. However, the main reason that prompted this policy was because a lot of users were downloading things like the Twitter app. If I had my way, I'd remove it altogether but I don't so moving on.... I wanted to find a way to force all Internet traffic regardless of which app it comes from, over the BES as they are racking up stupid bills each month as the apps such as Twitter continually poll the Internet to get updates. My suspicions were that the apps were going out via the Voda network and hence costing more. Now that I have locked down the Blackberries to only have the Blackberry Browser available to them, should this also effect apps which connect to the Internet? I'm not sure of the process they use to connect, do they make use of the browser config to get the required details to make a connection? If this is the case, then what I have done up and to this point should have solved the problem but I thought I'd check with those in the know....

Thanks for any advice you can offer.
