Yes, its normal to show less than the advertised space a on SD card, a harddrive, etc. As for the explanation, I suggest search8ing the techrepublic forums. There was an excellent explanation on it there. As for VR+ is it set to save to SD card, or does it save to phone memory? You may need to manually set it to save to SD first.
