Make sure the settings in DM are correct.

Try a battery pull on the BB (seems to fix many strange errors).

Might also try removing the media card (another strange one that will sometimes fix errors).

If all else fails, you might need to wipe the device and go back to the old OS. The forums are full of posts from those who try to fix their unbroken devices and the problems that arise.

Could also be a memory issue on the BB. Just a post saying that 5.0 is for devices with 64 MB of memory or more. The 8330 just fits in that spec. So if you have a lot of apps installed or a lot of calendar items and contacts, that could be the issue.
