Dang, I'm an idiot. No, not if you can't connect at all. But see blackberryforums.com and the article about using JL_CMDER if your blackberry will not connect. The issue there is different, but I'm wondering if there is "recognition" when the blackberry is first booting up, such that JL_CMDER can connect and you can get on with a wipe. I'm speculating wildly. If you try it, post an update.
I'm a little concerned about wiping it clean and not being positive that I can connect enough to reinstall the OS. Am I missing something here? I am assuming there is no way to install via BT is there? I'm sure if there it is then it is very slow. I also can't seem to find the article that you are referring to. Is it in the forums or an actual article?
