Thanks for all of the helpful replies. Here's an update:

BB 8320 V4.5.0.81 on T-Mobile
Email and attachment aren;t a problem as I clear them daily (currently 37.2K). The app store is up to 2819K. Every other database is relatively low in size (my calendar is 415.5K because it's synch'd with my Lotus Notes client). Total DB size is 3467.9K (is that bad?).
Currently I have 1,427,611 bytes free, and I pulled the battery less than 30 minutes ago.

Is there an easy way to check app file sizes in a similar manner as the DB sizes (without having to ckeck the properties of each app)?

Since I've typed this, I'm now down to 707,236 bytes, and all I've done is looked at DB sizes.....
