Default BlackBerry Change Carrier Issue

Is there anything special I have to do to use an o2 BlackBerry on T-mobile. I have put some information below that explains the problem I am getting.

**Background**
I have a BlackBerry 8800 from o2 that they have provided the unlock code for and it is now Sim Free. I know I cannot officially unbrand it however I am having an issue that when I try and do and enterprise activation with my T-Mobile sim that is definately BES enabled the activation completes and then the slow sync bombs out with "an error has occured please contact your administrator" and only the calendar slow sync works. There is nothing in the MAGT log on the BES to suggest anything is going wrong

I have read varous things on Google that suggest the carrier doesn't recognise my IMEI and it having an issue with the device. However I cannot find any statement that agrees and before I go to T-Mobile I would pose the question here.
