They could also be wondering why are you spending so much time using the BB when you should/could be working.
+2 to this suggestion. While they are not paying anything extra for the higher data usage, it sounds like they want to know what you're doing with your BB and if you should be doing something else with that company resource.
This is part of the reason I carry 2 devices - and I'm the person that runs the usage reports.
