Are you saying your sending a voice message using BBM? if so then the recording may be poor quality from the sender or non existant. Do you have any issues with the voice quality on your phone? Are you able to send voice messages that sound good?
Can you save and replay any audio messages or other media messages?

I know a lot of questions but more detail may help with answers.
