No, she has an email/messaging plan. she can use email, and any messaging such as msn, bbm, yahoo, etc, just can't browse the web. they are $15 blackberry plans so its not moot. she's already on messenger, but has 5.0.0.33 which is buggy with groups and sending files where 57 seems to be working much better.
