Default The mac issue

Thanks for the advice, but I've tried both hard resets as you describe and soft resets, it does no good.

Also, I have read about people with the same problem. From their posts I think I can safely conclude that my BB's OS is corrupted and I need to reinstall it.

So I guess the real question is: How do I reinstall the device's OS from a mac when the desktop software wont recognize the device?

Alternatively how can I make the software recognize the device?
