| | Help with lost email alert function and "desktop"

So recently I've had some pretty interesting things go on with my BB Tour and I don't have a clue what is going on. Last time I updated my OS (about 2 months ago), my default caledar switched to "desktop" instead of my email acct. I searched for the problem and found that I need to delete some desktop deals in my service book options. I was getting some error emails that said "don't delete this", "it's a email to help transfer stuff", them some character soup. Since then I was able to switch the default calendar back to my email, but I've lost the ability to change the alerts. Under message alerts>messages, I have 3 of my 4 email accts and and "Email [Desktop]". I've never lost access to the main email.
What is going on??? I want to get rid of this desktop deal and get my "Email [firstname.lastname@example.org]" back.
