I would agree: when travelling, local payg SIM cards (that allow Blackberry data) are few and far between - whereas regular (generic) data can often be purchased at reasonable rates. Some SIM cards have per minute (voice) rates (back to North America) that are so cheap that using data at all makes one want to squirm. If you can talk (for a few minutes) at 4 cents per minute (+ the free minutes often given as incentives) it does seem rather objectional.... to have to pay for data at all... |
