I'm trying to remember this, but I believe I've had the issue where the audio would pause when a message alert activated, and I'd have to go to media player and click play again. A soft reset would correct the problem. That was on the .330 OS, and I can't say I've noticed the problem since. So, perhaps doing a soft reset would correct you issue... it seems similar. You might experiment and see.
