My Google sync stopped working yesterday. I finally signed out as instructed, and signed back in to find duplicate calendar entries on the device - even though there was only 1 calendar on the device (associated w/ my gmail address).
I deleted google sync, deleted my gmail address from the handheld, and deleted the corresponding CICAL file from the Service Book. Then I deleted the default calendar (that came back after I deleted my email & sync) through the Desktop Manager/Backup/Advanced section.
I recreated my gmail address, reinstalled google sync, logged in, and everything was back to normal. The default calendar was gone, leaving only the right one associated w/ my gmail account.
So far so good...until the next sync. It failed...same message we're all getting to try again and log out if it persists. I had a couple of successful syncs after that, mostly for my gmail contact list, with the calendar failing. I'm not signing out again and going back to find more duplicate calendar entries!
I'm hoping this is something on Google's end and they'll fix it.
