So I took the phone to a repair store and guess what, they told me that this was the 5th time this week that someone walked in with the keyboard/ball issue -and the other phones were not wet. Now I'm thinking, is this a defect??! Maybe it was just a coincidence when mine stopped working just after it got wet? The warranty on my berry expired last month but if this is such a widespread issue shouldn't RIM look into it?! I don't know how issues get escalated at RIM but I assume they already know about this.
