Sounds like you might be new to this, and perhaps your account is new? If so, there is an account activation process that involves AppWorld sending an e-mail to the address you specified with an activation link. Until you click that link, your account is not active and you won't be able to login. Is this possible, or did you already click that activation link?
If you haven't received the e-mail, check your spam filters to see if the e-mail was blocked.
